While we were working at the organic food warehouse, Andrew Kenower was perusing Visual Explanations by Edward R. Tufte and showed me the chapter on the human error that caused the Challenger explosion in 1986. With pirated versions of Arturia midi synthesizers and field recordings Andrew had made in Holland, we created abstract compositions and songs in step with the underground ambient tape culture of the time.
